Vegans.I need some ideas for Christmas dinner this year?

I need a vegan recipe for Christmas dinner. I love to cook so…if it’s an all day thing..that’s fine. The recipes can’t contain anything like nutritional yeast though. I have to drive over 20 miles to get things like that so… Recipes with just normal regular ole fruits veggies and all are the only ones I can make. Sorry if that’s a big request. Do you have any ideas for me?

Anyone have a good vegan recipe for traditional British Christmas cake?

Please don’t just give web links - I’d love to hear recipes you’ve tried and tested yourselves and can personally vouch are good.

NB British Christmas cake is a very heavy, very rich cake made with dried fruits, alcohol and spices, cooked for several hours at a very low heat, and has unreal keeping qualities - you can keep it for several years without it going bad. I’m open to anything similar.

Vegan christmas cake-will it last if I make it now?

I always make my own vegan christmas cake by adapting an old recipe and replacing ingredients for vegan marg, egg replacer etc. It is delicious but I usually make it nearer to the time so I’m not sure if it lasts in the same way as a normal christmas cake does. I don’t see why it shouldn’t but when I am looking on the internet, some recipes say eat within a week!

I will be using brandy-I think that helps preserve it?

My new boyfriend is vegan and I was thinking about cooking him a meal for christmas maybe an appetizer, main course, and dessert. I found a lot of recipes but I’m not sure which ones will actually be good, does anyone have a good menu or some recipes they have actually tried themselves and could recommend?

Does anyone have a good vegan dessert suitable for Thanksgiving?

My American friends have invited me over for Thanksgiving and asked if I could make a vegan dessert. I am English so I am not sure what I could make. Any help would be much appreciated.

what do vegans think about the Christian Greek Orthodox fast?

We fast for long periods of time, throughout the year,40 days before easter, christmas, 15 days before Aug 15, and EVERY wednesday & friday all year.
Our fast is vegan, with the excepition that we can eat seafood, but not fish, and we can eat …….snails.
This is why I use vegan sites for recipes.thanks guys!
