turning cupcakes into cakes?

Hi! Ok so for mothers day i was gonna bake my mom a cake. (german chocolate to be exact). It’s vegan and i have a vegan baking book and a vegan cupcake book. I want a recipe from my cupcake book because its really good, so can i make the batter for the cake and put it into a bundt cake instead of putting it into little cupcake things? will it effect the way it bakes?

also for the frosting, i was gonna use the recipe for the frosting in the cupcake book, so will it be enough to cover a bundt cake?

p.s. the cupcake thing yields 12 cupcakes.

Thanks!

It should be fine, but I would double the whole recipe, icing included. 12 cupcakes is not a lot of batter, and a bundt cake will need a bit more I imagine.

Just make sure to test the cake with a knife to ensure it is cooked. The baking time may take longer, so just keep an eye on it.

I would double everything…a bundt pan usually holds quite a bit of batter..
