Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World Recipes?

Does any have the book, "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World"?

I'm dying to get that book. I won't be able to get the book until next month. Until then does any one have a favorite recipe that I could try. I love to bake and I'm a Vegetarian but I really want to back away from the boxed cake mixes and making desserts with eggs or butter you know?

I'm jumping back on the Vegan wagon, and I'm looking for new recipes to try! I've got How It All Vegan, Vegan with a Vengeance, and Vegan Cupcakes take over the World, but I've only made selected recipes from each book. Suggestions from there, from other books, or from the internet would be fabulous!

Also, I really don't care what you have to say to bash Veganism, and I don't want smart-alec remarks.

Vegan baking...which do you prefer when baking cakes/cupcakes? Rice Milk or Soy Milk?

Is one better? Taste? Texture? I am using a recipe out of Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World (Chai Tea) and it lists rice or soy milk...I'd like to know if one is better for baking, we've used one or the other (but I don't remember which). Thanks!

I'm a 25 year old year college student and honestly I'm still kind of nervous when it comes to women. A lot of them find me attractive but I don't want to 'play' with a girl that I don't have feelings about. However, they're is this one woman that have fallen for. She's beautiful, athletic, and smart. Anything I'd want in a woman. I've only talked to her a couple of times and because she's so busy. See, I'm on the football team and she is one of the coach's assissants. We're both 25 (if that mattered) and I told her to watch specifically for number 34 (which in me) when we played football. After I won, she seemed happy and I told her that the game was for her. That's all I've done when it comesto me talking to her. Let me wrap this up. On valentine's day, I want to buy her something like chocolate, but she's a vegan! I looked on line and found that they do indeed sell non-dairy chocolate but it's rather expensive so I came up with another idea. I looked on the internet and found a non-dairy chocolate cupcake recipe and I thought that it'd be cool if she saw that she can eat chocolate again and be a vegan (she really misses chocolate) and really cool because it was from me... I don't know. I was just probably going to mail her a some on put them on her desk or something... Does this seem like a stupid idea?

URGENT: Vegan chocolate muffin/brownie recipe?

**Kind of urgent.**

I'm hosting a dinner party and have already told my guests im baking them a yummy vegan chocolate dessert (cupcakes/muffins or brownies) and have realised i have run out of soymilk.
I'm wondering if anyone has or can help me find a recipe that doesnt include soymilk?
I don't want it to include any fancy raisons or chocolate chips etc as i don't have anything like that.
I have everything else: sugar (brown and white), baking powder & soda, vanilla essence, cocoa powder, rice wine vinegar, salt, flour etc.
Please don't give me a recipe with soymilk and tell me to subsitute with water as i think it will ruin or bland out the flavor.

My best friend is vegan and has a major sweet tooth. I want to make him a few yummy and Christmas-y desserts like cookies, cupcakes, and other sweet treats. Share some of your favorite vegan recipes with me or if you want to offer some suggestions for making traditional recipes vegan that would be most helpful too. (BTW it would be easy for me to look up some vegan recipes, what I want are recipes that others have tried and found delicious!)

Are marshamallows vegetarian?

I'm making cupcakes and they call for marshmallows and jello. It's an odd recipe, but it's supposed to be really fun to make and delicious. I was going to make it for one of my friends, but she's vegan. Now I KNOW that jello is NOT vegan, so I was going to leave that out, and since marshmallows hold gelatin in them, I'm pretty sure they aren't vegan either. So does anyone know where I can buy vegan marshmallows? I live in NYC, so will that info help?

Best recipes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World?

So my friends and I all like to have dinner parties. It's stupid I know. Anyway My bf is inviting me and my friends to his place for a dinner party and some of his friends are skeptical about vegan food. I remember last time we all got together, they would tease me because I couldn't eat half of the stuff they brought. >__>

So one of my vegan friends and I are making the most sinful delicious food vegan style. Also, my school is having an animal rights thing soon (I'm a huge part of that of course) and I am going to make vegan sweets to show people how good things can taste without using animal products. First on my list is cupcakes for both occasions. I have only had vegan cupcakes once from a vegan bakery. I have had Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World for a year or two now but I have just never made any of the recipes.

Which cupcakes and icings do you recommend most?

I am thinking of trying the basic chocolate cupcake and golden vanilla cupcake, with the vanilla buttercream frosting. How are they? That's the basics that I just think you must have. Then I am thinking of making the peanut butter cupcakes and the gingerbread cupcakes with coconut pecan frosting.

HAve any of you made these?

Vegans what do you love most to make for non-vegan friends?

I like making things at my dinner parties or potlucks with my friends. My bf too because he is not vegan he is "pescetarian" meaning he just eats fish on the meat front and he eats dairy. He is very supportive of my veganism though and he makes vegan dishes for me all the time :]

Anyway what do you love to prepare to impress them? Maybe I'm the only one who does this but I hope not. lol I like making traditional style banana pudding. It's so easy and comes out great. It took me forever to find vegan vanilla wafers when I went vegan though. You know mom used those delicious non-vegan Nilla wafers instead and thats a no-no. I had to go without wafers for a while :(

I have tried several different types of vegan lasagna and loved them all. I really like this recipe I found online for tofu spinach lasagna.

VCTOTW (Is that the right acronym? lol) helped me a lot with cupcakes. They turn out so well for me. I am always so shocked at how good my food comes out because I use recipes; I don't have that gift of being able to create my own recipes! I have like 4 cookbooks. lol

There are lots of other things but these are my favs. Everyone thinks all vegans are obsessively healthy and major hypochondriacs. I like to prove them wrong. I am vegan for moral reasons it really has nothing to do with eating non-processed foods (cuz I love me some packaged veggie meat mmm mmm) or picking berries in the forest. And they love it :]

I'm not new to this, just my food has gotten boring and I'm looking for something new. So I might know the brands you're talking about. :)

I have always used soymilk but I was wondering if rice milk could be substituted. Does anyone have any tips? Can rice milk curdle with the apple cider vinegar the way soy milk does?
